World Surface Coatings Library
The PRA's World Surface Coatings Library is your gateway to all surface coatings information resources, at PRA and beyond. It is the largest independent library in the world dedicated to surface coatings, established over 80 years ago and is a unique resource for coatings and chemicals companies to research into the latest developments and to investigate the prior art of the industry.
Our team comprehensively screens all new and relevant technical knowledge on surface coatings that is published each week. Clients can maximize benefit from this by setting up alerts on key topics of interest which are run against new items in our World Surface Coatings Abstracts database.
The Library also produces Paint Titles, a weekly alerting service for the coatings industry which is free to PRA Members. Members have free access to the Library and can browse the wide variety of paint-related journals, conference proceedings and books. We subscribe to approximately 150 coatings journals and can supply copies of original articles from these publications (subject to copyright regulations). PRA Library staff can extract the essential, up-to-date information you need and deliver it to you promptly; see also literature and patent searches; and alerts .
Document Delivery Service
Photocopies of articles from its extensive collection of books, journals, patents, standards, government reports, legislation and market reports can be delivered to you. This service also applies to Paint Titles, the library's weekly update journal of articles titles relevant to the coatings industry and others.
Library Access
PRA Members have free access to the library. However, a fee is applicable to non-PRA Members including students. Prices vary depending on the amount of information requested, the librarian time needed, etc. For more details, please contact the librarian.
