two volumes of the Proceedings for this conference contain the following papers:
The Congress saw the first ever European Coatings Award, which
was established by the editorial department of European Coatings
Journal for the best paper. This award, comprising a sculpture
and prize money of US$2,000, was presented to Dr. Jeanne L. Courter (Cytec Industries) for her
presentation on Analysis of Composition, Structure and Mechanical Properties Related to the Mar Resistance of Automotive Clearcoats.
