"Protecting the Substrate and the Environment"

Mercure Hotel Amsterdam Aan de Amstel, 24 - 25 October, 2007

Scope of the Conference

This two day conference will cover new developments in high performance coatings for the protection of structural steel and concrete. The application areas will include onshore, offshore and marine. The current high interest in protective coatings technology is driven partly by the interest of end-users and applicators to reduce solvent emissions from paint during application. The challenge for raw material suppliers and paint formulators is to find a substitution solution, which has a more environmentally friendly profile with similar or improved performance compared to the traditional coating. The conference will also address new developments in testing and specifications in particular in relation to the outstandig topic of the impact of surface preparation on long-term coating performance.

Purpose of the Conference

The main purpose of the conference is to facilitate innovation, by bringing together experts involved in the supply chain of protective coatings. Personal participation provides an ideal opportunity to gain a clear understanding of the state-of-the-art technology and the potential for further development. The conference is also a means to meet colleagues with similar interests, establish new contacts and develop new working relationships on an international basis.

Who Should Attend

This is an important event for technical staff involved in the Protective Coatings supply chain. It will provide them with the opportunity to be updated on current developments from different suppliers and other organisations and offers the opportunity to interact with like-minded professionals. These include specifiers, consulting engineers, contractors, applicators and end-users, as well as raw material suppliers and coatings formulators.
