This modern 4 star hotel is located in the south of Amsterdam on the waterfront. It is located within a 10 minute walk from the Overamstel metro station, with connections to the city centre (Central railway station) and airport (change at RAI station). All rates are subject to the prevailing city tax. Currently tax is 5% and is subject to change. All rates are excluding breakfast. American breakfast buffet is available at €21.50 per person. A limited number of rooms are being held for congress delegates, so early booking is strongly advised. These rates will apply until 12 July 2010 without charge in case of cancellation, after which bookings can only be made subject to availability and at the prevailing rate.

Alternative Accommodation
A lower cost option near the centre of Amsterdam is the 3 star Eden Lancaster Hotel, Plantage Middenlaan 48, 1018 Amsterdam, www.edenlancasterhotel.com.
The hotel is within walking distance of the Waterlooplein metro station, which connects directly with the Overamstel metro station, which is a 10 minute walk from the Mercure aan de Amstel hotel. Again, it is advisable to book as soon as possible to get the best rates.
