PRA Multi-client Evaluation Project Selection 2011

In 2009 PRA’s multi-client evaluation EU Decorative Gloss Paints for 2010 was very favourably received by the European coatings industry. The Technical Director of a major European paint company commented that the report was “Very valuable for the continuous improvement of our products.

Benefits of participating in EU Decorative Gloss Paints for 2010 included

  • A comprehensive overview of the products evaluated
  • An independent benchmark of each company’s products
  • Detailed insight into the application and appearance of products under real life conditions
  • Information on the composition of commercial gloss paints
  • Extensive laboratory data combined with expert ratings, in an easily digested highly graphical report

A New Multi-client Evaluation for 2011

We now propose to carry out evaluations of another paint product category using the same rigorous methodology developed for the gloss study.

This is your opportunity to guide PRA in the selection of the product category for evaluation.

To be involved in the selection process simply indicate on the form below the product categories your company would like to see evaluated. The category will be selected based on this consultation.

Companies will subsequently be invited to join the multi-client evaluation. It will be open to raw material suppliers, paint manufacturers and distributors who wish to have products evaluated.

PRA will test and analyse the samples submitted, on a comparative basis, for performance in laboratory tests and practical application trials. Results for all the paints will be reported anonymously. The identity of an individual paint will only be disclosed to the company that submitted it.
