Flow Cup Certification
Flow cups should be certified annually in order to ensure their compliance
with the appropriate Standard. Please ensure that the cup is clean before it
is sent as the presence of dry paint residues can change the flow time.
Please send the cup to us together with an order to cover the cost of certification (see below) and the return delivery charge.
Flow cups for which standards are available
This service is available in cases where the cup is defined in a Standard in terms of flow time and permitted tolerance for a fluid of known viscosity. (There is a list of popular flowcups and the relevant standards in our Oils Selection Guide).
In such a case PRA will run one appropriate oil through the cup and issue a certificate stating whether the cup is within the required specification tolerance.

Flow cups for which no standards are available
In such cases PRA will run three appropriate oils through the cup and produce a graph relating viscosity to flow time. This graph will then be incorporated into a certificate.
